Three award-winning Hawaiian masters from George Kahumoku’s renowned Slack Key Show, perform Hawaii’s unique folk styles, with origins in the early 19th-century Hawaiian paniolo (cowboy) culture. Join us for the slack-key magic of four-time Grammy winner George Kahumoku Jr., bass player and vocalist extraordinaire Nathan Aweau, and Hawaiian roots singer/songwriter Kawika Kahiapo. The island breeze never felt so good!

Featuring Halau Hula Na Mele o ke Kai’s artistic director Kumu Sylvia Ke’alalaua’eokalani and haumana (students) Gladys Janocko, Linda Kiaha, Melissa Beck, Cindy Corrigan, Annie Stoneman and Bridgette Drimmel.

Among the hula that will be performed, the halau is pleased to share two choreographed pieces by talented kumu Sandy Rodriguesz.
